Newrybar

Situated just off the Pacific Highway, Newrybar lies 20 minutes south of Byron Bay and 15 miutes north of Ballina. An unspoilt little village that 'time forgot' so it has a certain charm with it's rural produce store, antique and original wooden furniture shops, and local produce and plants stalls complete with honesty box.

Harvest Cafe

With rave reviews and recommendations, Harvest cafe blends country charm with contemporary style and tops it off with a winning menu. The light and airy interior, with original teak floorboards and spacious verandahs make for an enjoyable experience.

The innovative menu makes the most of fresh, local produce. It could be described as 'Modern Australian Cuisine'.

You can bring your laptop as they have wireless internet and bring your dog too as they can be accommodated out the front, but best to phone up and confirm this and book first...just to be sure.

A very popular spot for breakfast and lunch especially. Why not have breakfast here, then head back towards Byron the 'back way' and explore the hinterland and some of the country roads - like Friday Hut road - on your way home. You might pick up some honey or fresh produce at some of the roadside stalls.
