The Pass, surfing and the Pass Cafe

The Pass and the Pass Cafe lie at the far end of Main Beach and Clarkes Beach and sits underneath the lighthouse and is famous for its beauty and the surf.

The Pass is really the gap between Fisherman's Lookout and Cape Byron Headland. It can be a really nice protected little beach at certain times - of the day and the year.

It is reputedly one the most popular surf breaks on the north coast.

Fisherman's Lookout is a large wooden platform where you can walk up and check out the surf as well as the dolphins, fish - and if your timings right - whales.

The café is a great place for breakfast or lunch sitting in it's high position with ocean glimpses through the rainforest trees.

They take bookings for private functions and will open later for these - (02)6685 6074

They also do takeaway.
